Diana Fox began glassblowing in 2006, during her first year of study at the Alberta College of Art + Design. Prior to completing her BFA in Glass in 2010, Diana was awarded the Illingworth Kerr Travel Scholarship, which she used to study with Angus M. Powers at Haystack School of Mountain Craft in Deer Isle, ME. That same year, she also worked as an assistant to artists Tyler Rock and Julia Reimer in Black Diamond, AB.
While glassblowing is Diana’s primary area of focus, her practice also includes weaving, knitting, painting and drawing. When not making art, she works as a tutor and academic strategist, and is the Social Media Coordinator for the Glass Art Association of Canada. Diana also writes articles for Contemporary Canadian Glass, the magazine of the Glass Art Association of Canada.
Diana lives, works, and creates in Calgary, AB. |
